Greetings all,

I has been sometime since I have posted or written anything.  It isn't that I don't have material. . .my computer is full of partially completed stories and ideas.  My problem is finding time to write.  I have had a change of jobs and time has just disappeared.  Is anyone else out there having the same problem and did you find a way of solving other than becoming an insomniac?

I'd suggest that you perhaps delete or store away all the unfinished stories, put writing on the back burner and relax.
Eventually, things will calm down and you will be able to approach it with a fresh eye and a renewed desire.

Also, you might consider planning a week's vacation as something to look forward to.   And use that as your solitary time to write.  You can take a couple of days just writing solid, and probably churn out a lot of material, then slowly "publish" it throughout the year, making small tweaks to each story just before you post it.

The other thought-Hire a college student(female) to edit everything you have already.  Hopefully, she is cute and your ideas will turn her on and she will want to play, thereby making you forget about writing all together.  Smile
I'm bound to have a good time! :)

There's unfortunately not much you can do about a lack of time except not stress about it. Life is what gets in the way when you're making plans, just relax and let things will hopefully settle into a routine where you can find time to write.

I can't comment on story writing but your situation is fairly similar to mine with regard to further development to my random scenario application, I just can't find time at the minute.

I'd second Bob's advice and say don't stress about it. You're giving up your time and creativity for free to produce something that's enjoyed by many people, you've a right to enjoy the process yourself. If it's causing you (more than a little) stress then that's not fair.

Speaking personally I enjoy the vast majority of stories here and on various other sites. There are a few authors I particularly enjoy as their tastes are closely aligned with mine and I always look forward to seeing their next post but I'm never sitting thinking "get on with it, we're waiting"
Lots of toys or ideas? Can't decide what, how or when? Like being surprised?
