Hey guys, i just received my new hood
Here

Its incredibly well made, but i have two small problems...

1- the seams juctions under the chin hurt my chin and adam apple... But i suppose the hood will gradually adjust to my face after a while...

2- i need more buckle holes on the strap that cover the eye pat, any idea how i should add more...without weakening it? I wanted to email the seller to have her opinion too...

Outside that... I love it... I got the open mouth with a leather gag... Its awesome ;)

Mmmmmmm! That's a nice hood, Tigerstretch!

Yes, leather will stretch and conform after a few uses/wearing -- while there's quite a few leather conditioning and cleaning products that might speed up the process, you probably want to make sure you're not allergic to any ingredients before [indirectly] putting them on your face.

As far as the buckle holes go, I can see a few options:
  • E-mail the seller and ask if she'd be willing to add them if you mailed the blindfold portion back -- hopefully she wouldn't charge you for that minimal amount of work, but you'd likely have to pay the postage at least one way.
  • Run out and buy a leather punch -- they're not nearly as expensive as I'd originally thought, but you need to shop around. I don't know if Ottawa has many tack and saddle shops, but Ebay also offers quite a few affordable ones.
  • Probably the least recommended method, but one I've used myself is a common household drill and drill bit. It makes a hole, burnishes the edges somewhat, and after a few uses it's hard to tell that it's not a professionally punched hole. And in my case, it was free since I have a drill and bit set laying around.
Hope that helps, let us know how it goes, and enjoy that new hood! Smile
