planning

I find that planning and anticipating a session is almost as much fun as the session itself. Once I know I am going to have some private time I always start thinking. What am I going to wear, what am I going to use, what position will I be in, and what kind of release?
So, does anyone just grab a pile of rope and start, or is planning a more-or-less universal thing? And, do you enjoy the planning as much as I do.

I don't really plan, I just go with my fancy at the time for a few hours before letting myself go again heh.

Sometimes you can plan whatever you want but unless you are playing alone, things may not work out if other participants change THEIR plans or plans become overtaken by events which are "more important". That has happened more often than not which means most planning is more or less worthless.

I've certainly come across this a lot. Especially when you don't want to try and implement your plans on top of your dom's.

Self bondage planning is very exciting for me as well.

When I am alone I can spend hours researching rope techniques and thinking about stages of release. Kinda a fun hobby and arousing at the same time.

My Dom is sometimes very impressed with different things and they learn from my self bondage adventures.

Although I have on occasion gotten a huge pile of rope, messed it up, and started plunging my hands and feet into it randomly looping loose coils around everything I can until I can't move. I have actually been stuck like this one and was forced to use my safety release.

Make your bondage play into a work of art with bondage ropes, which can be used to create mesmerizing knots that bind your partner’s arms and legs in your favourite positions. Restraint play is made even more exciting with the use of this silky rope that can be used to secure a partner in a variety of positions.

This fetish one represents the best rope to use for bondage. The woven cotton fabric of Bondage Boutique product is soft and non-slip, it is ideal for shibari rope art and different BDSM positions. This rope is super firm in its structural design, so there will be no problem with some heavy-duty action. 10m length is enough for most BDSM ideas:Non-irritant finish is completely safe for wrists, ankles and body; the cord lies intact with the body and is a bit stretchable too. If required, you can effortlessly cut this bondage rope to the desired length but make sure to tie at the ends.

Or just use metal restraints and don't worry about finding the right kind of rope at all.
In the long run it is probably less expensive and probably also more secure.

I would agree that the planning is just as enjoyable as the session itself and, if you're doing anything new, testing - testing - testing and test again.
I'm a switch so the planning brings out the dom side of me, getting turned on just thinking about it and when I'm in the session I become the sub.
I'm having a session later today so I'm in the planning stage at the moment.
