Petticoat problems.

Unread post by restricted »

Can someone please tell me how I can stop my petticoat straps from slipping off of my shoulders?

The Models use a double sided tape under the strap to keep it in place.
They also put it in their Bras to keep certain parts covered.

There is a product called "It Stays!" that rolls on the skin like a roll-on deodorant and you press the article of clothing against it causing the clothing to stick to the skin. It washes off with water and leaves no stain, according to the bottle, though I prefer soap and water myself. A quick search reveals Amazon has it for $8.80 for 2 ounces; fortunately you don't need much. A more thorough search may reveal a better price.

Thanks folks. I sometimes use a half slip, but they don't always stay up. What a hussy I am.

I've figured it out. Hair clips or paper clips fastening the petticoat to the bra. :D

I put plasters over the straps which hold it to my shoulders. :D

Problem solved. I have elasticated bras so I put them on over my petticoat. :D

I have a piece of tape. I will glue it to the back of the petticoat just below the apex of the shoulder straps so it stops them from slipping sideways.

Good Idea; It does appear that you are having way to much Fun.
I remember that not that long ago that you would die for just a few minuets in a dress.
Now you are wondering how to keep a Petticoat in place.
Good Luck.

A couple of the uniforms have splits in them. I use a long half slip to allow a little lace to show.

You have to take up sewing to repair your dresses.
OR you might think of getting some new ones.

Yesterday in one of my blue nurse uniforms all day. For some reason I feel clean and smart wearing them. I always feel grubby in normal clothes. Today is the pale green one.

I am looking at buying material in the colours I want for the petticoats. Blue, green, red, are the colours required. They would have to be half slips. The material could be glued rather than stitched.

I found the answer to my problem. I bout a nylon slip two sizes smaller and that holds the straps in place. Of course it means it's a swine to remove and I think I might have to keep it on. But that starts another chain of thought. I couldn't take the bra off then, so I might as well stay dressed for the occasion. :D
