The Bound Forum

There are a few things that are lost with the forum conversion and passwords are one of them. To recover your password, do the following:

• Click the login link
• Click "I forgot my password"
• Follow the steps to recovering your password. It may take 5-10 minutes to receive the email.

Once you have recovered your password, please visit the "User Control Panel". Verify your information is correct. Your avatar can be updated in this area as well.

UPDATE: You can visit http://webwiz.boundforum.com/forum if you need to recover your avatar or lookup what your signature was. The forum should be read only. I will not stay up forever (but at least a month).

NOTICE: Note that all username, passwords and email addresses are case sensitive. If you had an account on the old forum, the email address has been made to be all lowercase. Usernames remain the same case however.

If someone could reply to this thread so I know people can reply OK that would be swell

Finally got back in. Didn't help that I didn't quite remember my exact username or the email address I used to register

Looks better than the old board. Also now has option to put most recent post at top of page. Definitely approve of that.

Well done to GU for doing a lot of hard work and making it all happen.

If you're on daylight saving time don't forget to check the relevant box on the user control panel.

Biggest problem I found was that I clicked the link in my favourites which took me to a page that no longer existed on the new forum, panicked a bit at that point! But soon worked it out (deleted all but boundforum.com and tried again) then what WAS my username?? Thank god for Roboform is all I can say!

Tried login using my password, no go
requested password, got random one.
logged in and changed back to my old password.
logged in again and all ok.

However !! can only see three quarters of pages as I do NOT have a wide screen monitor.
This will entail scrolling across every page - not good - can it be altered ???

The forum has a set width of 1024 with any monitor from even the 90s should be able to handle. You may just need to increase your windows resolution in the control panel. 1024x768 should work for you.

Another option that may help a bit is pressing F11 in your browser. It will give you the most real estate on the monitor. Just hit it again to return to the normal size you use.

I had to do this to get back on, and now im here, so no problems this way thank god..

I have tried several times to log in and request a new pass word. But I never get
an "E" mail back .....
I had to invent a new ID to get to this site to ask for help.
I have been here since Oct of 2008, and had over 400 posts. I would like to keep
my status if possible.
I also see that you deleted the spell check, How come???

This forum doesn't have one built in. Most all browsers these days have it built in though. Just look for the red lines under mis-spelled words.

Is there any way of quoting a reply? There are no buttons next to any of the posts for editing or quoting anymore!

You might want to go back to the "old" forum at http://webwiz.boundforum.com/forum and make sure we've got the right one on file!

Regarding spellcheck, there used to be an add-on for Internet Explorer called "IESpell" that would automatically underline misspelled words right in your browser, but I've got no clue what versions of IE it's compatible WITH. I'm pretty sure Firefox's
spellcheck is automatic, and not even an add-on.

Yes, they HAVE vanished, haven't they?? I quoted in this post by using "{quote="namegoeshere"}" but it's pretty clunky.
