Back in 2016 I got a Chinese Bon4M from ebay for like $40. It recently fell to the floor and one of the guide pins came loose but didn't break off. I can wiggle it around with my fingers but cannot pull it out. Still buggin me though as these these Bon4m's seem to be extremely hard to find now. 2016 is too far back for ebay history to show.
I am wondering if anyone knows where to find more of these knockoff Bon4m's as I absoultley REFUSE to pay $200+ for one of these just for the brand name. Thats like paying an extra $1000 just for the Harley Davidson logo painted on the gas tank of a bike or an extra $100 for shoes because they have the little Nike checkmark. I don't pay for brand name logos.
I'm looking to pay no more than $50 for brand new, not 2nd hand, which means it will be Chinese again.
The other option is soldering/welding (AVOIDING JB weld). How would one go about welding or soldering one of these as it's steel? I hear steel puts out dangerous fumes. I have a soldering gun but don't own a welder.
Is there anyone in Canada that specializes in this kind of item repair?
I searched in Google for other steel guide pins breaking but am coming up empty.
Running out of options.
