We all seem to crave a good bandage session and a couple hours in chains.
Being in chains nonstop might give a different appreciation for the meaning of bondage.
There was a lady friend I once visited regularly. She was into bondage and put me into some handcuffs and leg irons and other jewelry to often fasten me in one place the moment we got up. The chains would come off for a couple hours when we went out for food but I would change back into indoor clothes and the shackles would all go back on again as soon as we got home. She was impatient and I probably was fully restrained 5 minutes after we got inside.
Other than meals and bathroom breaks, the rest of my day was spent contemplating how shackles felt when one had no control over wearing them.
There were no other distractions though sometimes she would leave a couple porn magazines around for my entertainment. Life was simple and boring and enjoyable in a way.

I'm in a similar situation to the one you describe, but since I'm out almost all day for work I think it's different.
I'm in chains all the time when I'm at home but let's say it's 40/50% of the day (night included) so the feeling is different.
Being in chains all day for several days is an experience I've tried and it's nice/boring but it can't last for too long otherwise it becomes a routine.

It sounds like you are the driver in determining the frequency and type of bandage. In my case I was not. I could always have simply refused to let her chain me up but then I would have an unhappy and generally upset lady to hangout with for the rest of the weekend. Once the jewelry went on, it stayed on until she wanted them off or had something for us to do. It did get routine and very boring but that was the meaning of bondage.

I completely agree with you, real bondage is what you can't control.
In my case I don't directly control when she put the chains on or not, it's more about necessity: I leave in the morning at 6am for work and in the evening I return around 6/7pm.
In the evening we attend some courses or visit our parents so actual time spent at home during the week is relatively little.
Unfortunately, very busy lives make being in chains quite complex, but when my girlfriend knows that I can stay home without going out I have to stay in chain....and no question.
