Greetings All...
I'm in search of some hardware to upgrade my ball stretching efforts. Specifically I'm looking for grade 316 (316L / 316LVM) stainless steel hardware, but not priced like a NASA screwdriver.
Right now I'm using grade 316 ss rings, they're 1/4" thick and 1.5" in the middle. I'm able to fit 12 rings easily and 14 with some effort, but all those individual rings start grabbing hairs, grabbing bits of skin, etc. It's also difficult to keep clean, since the rings have to be slid on one or sometimes two at a time.
The stock room, mr. s, etc all sell 2 piece clamping stretchers, but neither are 316 stainless... I think mr.s is using power coat carbon steel (yech) and the stock room is using nickel + brass flash plated carbon steel. I have a nickel allergy, and the sensitive bits swell up rather nasitly when exposed to the cheap nickel flash finish.
I did find one site claiming to use "medial grade" stainless, but they didn't specify what grade that was exactly, and their hardware had prices that would make NASA blush.
The vanilla term for the hardware I'm after is a "split shaft collar" which sounds as dirty as ball stretcher, but I haven't found anyone selling small quantities in a 316 stainless variety.
Any suggestions?
ball stretchers?
RE: ball stretchers?
Dunno if this can help, but have you looked at MEO? I know they can be pricey, but the upside is that they will answer email questions.Sei.
Embrace your inner wierdo! No-one else will! (No, they'd be more likely to lock it up and throw away the key...)

I think you can get them from marine supply stores since they're used on boat propeller shafts, but I might be wrong. Plus I'm not so sure you'll be able to get the stainless steel ones there.

RE: ball stretchers?
What you are seeking is actually based on a "split collar" for use in industrial applications. I have been unable to locate any of these made of stainless...but any competent machinist ought to be able to run one out. It is just a doughnut machined from billet, and then cut in half and bored/tapped for allen- or torx-head screws. I bought one in 1-1/4" (for a non-BDSM application) the other day for a whole $7.23. It rankles me that they are sold off-the-shelf-plus being powder-coated for many times that. You could buy a version similar to what you want at an industrial supply house, take it to a machinist, and tell him (or her) to duplicate it in stainless. Won't be cheap, but it will be what you're looking for.Master Lee622011-09-27 22:39:27
RE: ball stretchers?
Thanks for the input all...
Climax Metals (oddly enough named for my always in the gutter mind) makes them in a variety of materials, but doesn't machine the size I'm after 1.5" ID in 316 stainless.
I might take a shot at searching for an aluminum version, or maybe solid brass.
I don't want it bad enough to commission a machine shop to make them, I'll keep searching!
Edit:
So I hit on the Grainger website, and come up with an aluminum version...
Ruland also machines at 316 stainless version, but Grainger doesn't carry it in their catalog... might try calling Ruland and see about purchasing some "samples"

Re: RE: ball stretchers?
I'm really sorry to come back to this topic after so many years of inactivity (sorry if I bring the bubbles to the surface... ) but I can't find the solution anywhere, and no store worthy of the name is echoing in my mind. So, I don't know if you have one to propose that can deliver me quality stretcher balls discreetly at home. I thank you in advance, good evening to alljustDIY wrote: ↑27 Sep 2011, 22:12 Thanks for the input all...

I'll keep you posted on the progress of my order as soon as I receive it, and I'll let you know if this site is a scam or if it's a really good deal. I bought the "Magnetic Ballstrecher" because I really needed my balls to hang down to the tiles. I love it when my testicles swing left and right during the contractions, and when there's so much weight that I can feel the semen being held back in my prostate... It's an incredible feeling! We'll see if this product is really worth it, for the moment, I have nothing to complain about. On the other hand, they take a little time to answer by mail, it's a bit of a shame...
