Re: Buying Heels
My favorite pumps are the simple spike heel, pointy toe shoes that were so common in the 50s and 60s. That’s pretty much all I remember women or older girls wearing when I was young and discovering girls. The nicest ones I have found are at a mail order place in Illinois: https://www.classicpumps.com/. The shoes are real leather and very well made.

Re: Buying Heels
I find that these kinds of pumps don’t tend to stay on my feet unless they are uncomfortably tight.

Yes, it's hard to find a pair that fits just right, but I really like that style so have gone through quite a few over the years.

Re: Buying Heels
I am finding that those kinds of pumps need to be either a half size or full size smaller than what I would wear in a strappy heel which is my preferred style.

Re: Buying Heels
The strappy ones are fun, too. I have a pair of T strap character shoes with a 4" heel that are the most comfortable heels I have ever worn. I can easily walk around in them all day.

Re: Buying Heels
You are thinking something like Mary Janes. I am thinking strappy heeled sandals.

Ah yes - I haven’t had any nice sandals for a good while. Summer is coming - maybe I should get some….and paint my toenails…

Re: Buying Heels
I have had my nails painted once. The lady had me chained to a bed and basically told me that it was going to happen and I could not stop it. If I struggled, it would only make a mess.

Re: Buying Heels
Found a pair of pretty simple plain pumps with 3 inch heels.
They are pretty easy to walk around in an I could easily wear them all day if I had to.
They might be just a little TOO easy to maneuver around in which almost defeats the purpose.

Re: Buying Heels
3" is a good height for me; high enough to feel high, but low enough that I can walk comfortably all day. I wear a US women's size 10 or 10 1/2; EU size 42. I have a nice pair of oxfords with a block heel that look good with a maid's uniform, and a pair of black spike heel pumps that fit just right. Unfortunately, the soles on them are starting to disintegrate and it's time to find a new pair.

Re: Buying Heels
I wore a pair of new strappy heels for almost 2 hours while working in the kitchen this morning. Heels are 3.5 inches and surprisingly comfortable, I easily could have worn them for much longer but had other things to do that did not allow for heels.
I don't think I have ever worn out the soles in any pair of heels because they are always worn indoors. Why not get your shoes re-soled?

Re: Buying Heels
Just picked up a very nice pair of leather pumps with super high heels.
The photographs were a little misleading. They didn't look quite as high as they actually were.
Picked up a pair of Mary Janes with a 4.5 inch heel but a 1/2 inch sole, so it really feels like a 4 inch heel.
Both fit quite well but the Mary Janes are much easier to wear for a long time. Still gives my legs a good workout though.

Re: Buying Heels
The size of the shoe being displayed plays a huge role in how high the heel appears to be. A 4.5" heel on a size 14 shoe looks more like a 3.5" heel while a 4.5" heel on a size 6 will look like a 6" heel. Pics are always misleading because of that. I know I can decently wear 4" heels on my size 9 feet. 4.5" is a little iffy and 5" will definitely hurt my feet pretty quickly but that's not usually much of an issue when you're lying down all hogtied. ;PStahlketten wrote: ↑25 Oct 2024, 22:02 Just picked up a very nice pair of leather pumps with super high heels.

You should wear the 5" heels when you are tied standing up! A good, tight poletie is my favorite.

Re: Buying Heels
The problem with the leather pumps was that I probably wasn't paying as much attention to details in the photograph as I should have been. The photograph wasn't quite a side view. I liked the look, and the price was very good, so I don't regret the purchase.
I believe that many times it isn't the actual height of the heels but the design and how they fit that makes them comfortable or not. I do have honest 5 inch heels that are quite wearable for a couple hours.
I thought the Mary Janes looked pretty good, so I suggested my Wife try them on. I would have bought another pair for her if she had liked them. She said the heels were just a bit too high for walking around all day in a situation that She would be wearing heels for. She did look pretty good in them though, but She looks pretty good in nearly anything.
